Forgotten Pawsteps Rules

How to Join a Clan:
1. Choose A Clan to Join.
2. Go on that Clan board.
3. Go to the character board.
4. Click 'create new thread'
5. Make the thread name the name of your character.
6. Make a bio using the bio layout on the "Rules" page, then click "post message"

Overview
Signatures should be less than 540 in width, and unanimated. Preferably cat-themed just to stick to tradition. Only one main signature, please; and don't overcrowd your siggie with a bunch of stuff.
The concept of WARRIORS was thought up by "Erin Hunter"; a group of about three writers. We do not own the basis of the idea. We claim none of the images (found on the internet) as our own. Do not Hot link images; please. You can simply upload it to photobucket.com ; tinypic.com ; or imageshack.us.

Name Rules
Forbidden suffixes/prefixes: Devil, angel, demon, dragon, star/starry/starred (anything such like that).
Any number of cats can have the same prefix; but they must be in different Clans and their role players must agree that it's all right. If there is a disagreement, the one who had the character first keeps the name.
No cat can have the same full name as a current or deceased cat, to avoid confusion. (You will be informed if this has occured).

Role Playing Rules of Forgotten Pawsteps
The basics. No spamming the role play boards, no chat speak, or swearing. No god modeling: making your character stronger for personal gain (unless its part of some predeterminded plot), or making the character immortal. No power playing without permission of the other cat's role player (unless the character is unconscious or you have some sort of authority over them).
No killing anyone's characters without permission.
Cats living in Clans as a family is unrealistic. But all Clans, excluding Silenced-Echoes must stay within the book's terms. No powers (other than gifts from StarClan), abnormal colors, clothes/jewlery, or wings. Only abnormal fur and eye colors, and "powers" are permitted amoung the DevilClan cats in Silenced-Echoes.
Don't describe mating, unless over PM. It's pointless and may offend someone.

Out of Character Board Rules
Do not post multiple threads discussing or generally about the same topic...do not spam or use chat speak. Do not format your posts with colors. Not everyone has the same default skin, and a perfectly visible green on your may be dreadfully hurtful on their eyes. You can change font sizes / bold things, etc, but no colors. Try not to make pages side scroll (by keeping images smalling than 550). Don't advertise other websites.

Respect & Stealing Work
Respect the other members, of course. We all have different opinions, and clashes will happen, but please, don't hold grudges, or be immature. Do not use any sort of bias towards any walks of life. Don't just insult someone for no reason.
Obviously, don't take something someone else made and claim it as your own. And if you don't like something someone has made you, ask them nicely to make another or just don't use it.

Personal Information
Do not ask for addresses, or phone numbers, full names, etc of any members on the site. If you wish to do so outside of the site, I cannot control you. Do not talk openly about your location or age (for obvious reasons); unless you're comfortable.

Biographies and Post Length and Rules
The regulations for biographies and post length is set for each Clan individually (so please, read a Clan's rules before joining it).
However, any one-lined biographies or posts will be deleted without warning.
Dialogue is to be in "Quotations", and thoughts or dreams in italics. Do not use /these/ to italicize, we have a button for that. Do not use any formatting in your role play posts outside of italics. You can freely format your biographies.

What is Warriors?
Warriors is book series by Erin Hunter. If you haven't read any books, you shouldn't be here.
Why can't I have a good cat in Silenced-Echoes?
One good cat turns to many and it is supposed to be an evil Clan.
Can I play more than one character?
Yes.
Do all my characters have to be in one Clan?
No, actually I suggest against that.
Do I have to start out as a kit?
No. Be whatever.
What is Hot-linking?
Hot linking is taking an image off of a real site may it be .com, .org, or anything like that, and using its original URL to make the image show up. For example, if this site was http://Forgottonpawsteps.net, and we had an adorable image of a cat and you put http://Forgottonpawsteps.net/catimage.gif for the image, it costs money to the person already paying for the site. So don't do it. AT ALL.
